It's always been my family's tradition to hide out while Santa came at night on Christmas Eve and open presents then.

We didn't this year though.

Did Christmas with family early since I work that day.

Evidentally my mom thinks I'm an alcoholic. I asked for a shaker, and she got me that included with a full bar set, a corkscrew set (I don't like wine and have no idea what 90% of this shit is), and an assortment of wine/shot/martini glasses. Also got a new food processor, a new robe, and miscellaneous gift cards. All in all, stuff I wanted/needed, but I kinda feel like I'm fagging it up since it's not just vidyagaems and clothes.

I got a 7-disc set of the entire Der Ring des Nibelungen cycle, performed by the Metropolitan Opera. I also got the libretto that goes with it.

I got about $300 cash.

"The family" got Rock Band and Mass Effect.

Yeah... the name is "the Secret" by Rhonda Byrne.

Anyhoo, as for opening presents on Christmas Eve, it's kind of a necessity; since my brother's and sister's families have other sets of grandparents/relatives to go to on Christmas Day. Besides, the kids like it, obviously. They still get their "home" presents on Christmas morning anyway.

So, anyone have any reccomendations for good DS games? RPGs would be good, but I really have no idea what's out there.

I entirely agree. It's unfortunate that the version Gadani got is a mixed bag that is a bit weak compared to the Karajan/Berlin Philharmonic version though. The price is right though.
