I'm helping host an anime/gaming/comic/sci-fi/fantasy/etc convention in CT. I'm helping with the website as well as gathering some comic artist guests.

The site should be done in a few days *crosses fingers*, and once it's ready for the full public I'll advertise it on fark (full banner), ovature, and basically anywhere else I can.

The events range from DDR tournaments to anime movies on projection screens to Mechwarrior Darkage Tournaments to a rave to board games, to rpgs, and of course with the appropriate rooms set aside for venders. Right now the biggest name on our guest of honor list is Glenn Shadix from Beetlejuice..

seeing how this is the first one, i'm a bit confused about that comment, but also curious. ConnectiCon is a registered buisness in the town of West Hartford. There are no others of that name that I am aware of. Are you sure you got the name right?

She didn't say "suck badly", I said that, summing up what she said, she told me something along the lines of, "It could have been a heck of a lot better, it was not a very fun place to be"

In other news, I'd come to your 'con if I could, Diadem. If for no other reason than the fact that the small 'cons in many cases tend to be the ones with the most heart. Might not have all the assorted weird vendors or the big name stars or anything, but the tend to be a lot of fun for folks in the loop.
