You know the spiel by now. Remember how in the past every year had more stuff and attendees than the one before it? Well, that's what's going on this year.

Expected turnout is between 8,000 to 10,000+ geeks (many cons count badges for Friday sat and Sunday as three people instead of one. our numbers count that as one person). Stop by or tune in to pretty much any CT news station/paper/radio station (fox, nbc, news channel 3, etc).

If anyone wants to stop by, I plan on participating at the Urza's Saga draft game on Friday. As per usual, send an e-mail to diadem at gmail.com if you can't make it and want a signature from a guest or something.

We passed our top expected attendance and exceeded 10,000 people.

We also got some sort of award for being the event that brings the most business into the city.

Saw media coverage as far away as Cali.

Here's a bunch of pictures from Fox.

Obvious right-wing bias.

The samus on page 2 looks really, really goofy. And then there's FF13 characters, that just makes me angry in any context.

I really like the intent of this article.

edit: Note that when I lived in Harford there was a murder a week and had a more auto thefts than the country of Canada. It was one of the most dangerous places in the nation.

I still wouldn't stray too far from the convention, but it's a start.

edit: Not sure why they only mentioned MENSA discounts. We offer DOD discounts as well.
