It's the second worst beer I ever had.

The "winner" is still Bud Ice,



but this came close.

I think you need to try some of the little guys, rather than Fosters/Lion Nathan. Coopers is still good.

I recommend:

Coldstream Brewery - Spring Lager
Hargreaves Hill - Hefeweizen or Abbey Dubbel

I've spent a lot of time in the vincinity of Brisbane, so most of the time I had VB, which wasn't that bad. Also Tooheys New and Bitter, which worked too.

I wish they would import more Australian beers up to the states. Foster's lager and ale is pretty much it, and most places only sell the giant cans as a novelty, I think.

My Aussie Light Ale has been consistently excellent and has been praised by all who drink it, so I like to think that I'm representin' for Oz.

You should take a trip out to the mid and northwest just to sample the micro brews. Bayern brewery out of Missoula has some awesome brews, sadly they are very local in ditribution.


And to our german buddy, first thing about American/Kanuckistani beer is if it has Ice in the name at all you're drinking for quantity, not quality. the fact it had Bud on the can to didn't help.
