Let's say there is something called a Pac.
Let's say all Pacs are Quoo.

Question
1) There are no Pacs in the room. Therefore there are no Quoo in the room. (True/False/Unknown)
2) There are no Quoo in the room. Therefore there are no Pacs in the room. (True/False/Unknown)

This seems to be rather trivial.

1. We do not know if all Quoos are also all Pacs. Therefore, we lack a neccesary bit of information for statement 1.
2. As all Pacs are Quoo, this statement is true.

Am I missing something here?

As this seems to be the majority answer, apparently not.

For this survey to be valid I ask that people vote what they think is right and not base their decision on the majority.

This is so much easier with actual terms.

Sticks and Wood both exist.
All Sticks are made of Wood.

1)There are no sticks in the room, therefore there is no wood in the room.
2)There is no wood in the room, therefore there are no sticks in the room.

Actually, you are missing something...or at least are misinterpreting something.

Haha well one thing you are apparently misinterpreting is this question's status as being trivial, since 40% of people can't answer it correctly. Also, the knowledge that all Quoo are also Pacs is but one possible missing premise that would lead us to the conclusion that there are no Quoo in the room. So while you are correct that the presence of Quoo is uncertain, your premise that we would need to know if all Quoo are also Pacs to know if there are any Quoo in the room at all is false.

For example, if I said "there are no Pacs in the room. When there are no Pacs in the room, there are also no Quoos in the room, however, not all Quoos are Pacs. Therefore there are no Quoos in the room." this is one logical possibility - in other words, stating that knowing if all Quoos are Pacs or not is necessary to answering the question is false. The word you're looking for (and I realize you're not a native speaker so I don't mean this to be condescending haha) is "sufficient".

Uh, Steve, by my math 85% of people have it wrong. Hint: the question isn't whether we can say for certain whether there are Quoo or Pacs in the room.
