Basically, I get tons of 50 song cards (Thanks American Express!) via credit card points, and have 48 songs left to buy with this recent card. However, I'm not sure what to get.

Recommend stuff to me that is obscure and cool. Stuff I won't hear by listening to typical radio stations. Or, hell, point me to popular stuff that I may have skipped past. Pretty much, point me towards cool music and help me spend these songs.

For really obscure, I recommend the OST to Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, or any Nippon Ichi game, really.
I suffer from CRS: Can't Remember Shit.

Buckethead?

One Day as a Lion is an interesting new band made up of people from The Mars Volta and Rage Against the Machine.

Acid Bath is decent.

Alestorm is some hilarious pirate metal about being a pirate. I wouldn't call it amazing music, just hilarious.

Apocalyptica is pretty awesome; classical/metal.

Nightwish is some good operatic metal.

Lake of Tears is some softer, slower rock with a good sound.

Things a bit less metal...

Front Line Assembly

The Modern is a new band with a really 80's sound if you like 80's music.

Get as many versions of Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up as possible.

There are over seven, including an orchestral version.

If you liked Dragonforce's "Through The Fire And Flames" while playing GH3, pick up the album it's on - Inhuman Rampage.

Pick up the single Paul Reddick - I'm a Criminal if you're a blues fan.

I need to grab the rest of the album and see how it is, but I'm too broke.

The Octopus Project

Although to be honest I have no idea how many of them will be on there.
