Computer forensics = grepping through log files until your eyes bleed. It is not fun. The ethical hacking course does sound interesting, though.

Next term is going to be easy as hell:

Roman Art and Architecture
Humanities VI - Early Moderns
Writing Workshop IV
Sacramental Theology

Courses will be all done by lunch, and the rest of the time I'll have to explore Rome. Damn I love my college.

Of course, this semester's not so nice.

Starting with epee is a bad idea, I think. Foil, after all, was designed specifically as practice for the epee.

Yea, but if you do foil too long you get all raped up in the right of way and you lose timing on stop hits. The two things you really need to get from foil are the lunge and disengage. Straight parrys, flicks, and all the other weird things that come out of competitive foil just screw with your epee game.

I want to take an online class and a capstone poetry class, but all our professors are going on sabbatical and this stupid online registration is pretending I haven't completed the prerequisites for poetry and what am i gonna do

Not at all. That's why it's so easy to take a club-trained, epee-only fencer apart--he's got no parry and no sense of timing.

Flicks are an epee thing. The physical mechanics of electric foils were modified to try and keep them out of that particular game some years ago. Aside from that, flicks to the wrist and elbow are awesome if you can pull them off.

I found Epee made my circles better, screwed up my lunge, made my point control insane, and I could stop hit like a mofo. I got a guy 4 times on the bottom of the hand during the wind up for a lunge in one match before. Then he fixed his range and I was .

I need to start fencing again. I miss it so much.
