Stuff like this makes me want to play WoW more than I do. D:

This is how I spent countless hours towards the end of the beta. Probably why I only hit 50.

Whoa, weird. Did you ever see the move The Enigma of Kaspar Hauser? For some inexplicable reason, you just reminded me of a scene wherein death imagery plays a huge role.

Having said that, and realizing how idiotic I sound, I finish with this: "griddled"?

Pretty sure a great deal of that isn't possible anymore.

I know the WSG exploit is, though

I almost got banned from the beta for being in too many places I shouldn't.

Edit - Do you know how hard it is to get banned from a beta for finding bugs?

And you'd be wrong good sir!

Edit: Wallwalking no longer works, but now the rage is to wall hop. Takes a lot of patience to do though.

Well, that and be a character that can Slow Fall/Levitate, or buy a ton of Noggs. And then of course there's model changing, but that's something completely different, and many explorers don't believe in using it.

I remember the early days of Blackened the Undead Mage with Invisibily, exploring Tanaris and Un'Goro back when they were just ideas in the coders' heads!

I dunno, I got on top of scarlet monestary pretty quick like in the second video. The jump on that first part to the other side of the roof to get up top and drop down was hard though; have to hit it just right. But if you fall in the center courtyard, the corner that the corner points to allows you to zone into SM and get un-stuck. haha.

Broken content?

I wouldn't call this broken content at all. There's almost no way you're going to run into any of this stuff without actually looking for it.

Many great games have crazy glitches that you can mess around with.

A whole bunch of people from my guild got suspended recently (For various lengths of time apiece) for getting enough people to GM Isle to begin summoning others there and holding a party, heh.

Turns out they don't approve of that <_<

Ahahahaha.

The GM/Dev islands are the easiest places to get banned for exploring.

You'd have a lower chance of getting banned by going to Outland (well, if it still existed on live servers).

Well, they're instanced.

Apparently, there are a few ways to get to the GM island, one people call "Coffee" which is actually Model Changing, and then apparently there are a couple ways to get there outside of that.

I've never been there myself though, so I couldn't tell you how to get there. D:

This is kinda related.

Burning Crusade maps!

Hellfire Peninsula
Nagrand
Netherstorm
Shadowmoon Valley
Terrokar Forest
Zangarmarsh
Blade's Edge Mountains

Eversong Woods
Ghostlands

Azuremyst Isle
Bloodmyst Isle

And these don't look to be complete yet but show off the cool new emblems for the new races:

Silvermoon
The Exodar

Blizzard is getting the artwork for Burning Crusade done insanely fast, so I'd say they've been working on this for a long time. They might just pull off a late November/December release after all!

Blizzard doesn't release things early, Willias.

No, there has been no official release schedule: Not even a loose "Q1 2007"

I'm thinking Q42006 is very likely.

Heh.

Well, do you happen to know of a site that mentions Spring '07 as a "planned release date" for BC.

Edit: The Bit-tech.net preview mentioned a December release, and many retail outlets have been told to expect the game late November.

November 28 according to Gamestop.

Yeah, while I'd normally say that the date Gamestop lists is wrong, like it normally is, but apparently that isn't exactly a guess date. They were reportedly told that date by Blizzard.

And even if it is a guess date, it's a pretty damn good guess.

Lots of Rumor and date changing, nothing firm.

I've also seen reports from people in the Alpha that things are getting put together pretty quickly.

That and the beta isn't really going to be that much of a beta.

Edit: What I'm trying to say is that this has the potential to be released a lot sooner than most would expect. Of course, with Blizzard, they may say "it'll be out in a couple of months" and then get delayed until Christmas of next year (which I kinda doubt will happen, at the latest I would expect a Spring '07 release).

If you want to get to GM Isle, go to Darnassus, run around the entire tree on the outside, on the water. You want to get to the very upper left corner of the zone, co-ordinates 0,0.

You can get close, but you will need to be sure
A) A hunter runspeed aspect
B) A 2nd life, be it Reincarnate or Soulstone

Runspeed pots and healing pots both help, one gets you there faster, one keeps you going longer once the exhaustion sets in. Fort and motw increase your hp and also help.

You will want to get close, my spot is SE from the corner. Get as close as you can, and just start running. When you get to 0,0, the very corner of the world, swim straight down, you will fall through the world and eventually land in the water outside GM Isle (Move if you get stuck mid-fall), then you swim to the island and voila!

Least that is how I did it, most likely some other way I don't know of.
